Who are we?

Our academy started operating in 1999. Since then thousands of students have trusted us to learn more and better and pass their exams. Our courses are for all levels. Every year more and more students rely on our remedial classes to support the subjects they are studying in their school, as well as those who are looking for academies to prepare for the Selectividad (EvAU/EBAU or PCE), access to intermediate or higher vocational training or free tests to obtain the title of ESO or Bachillerato.

In addition, we also give classes for university students and classes of Spanish for foreigners.

Day after day, we strive to offer you the highest quality work. A serious, organized and honest work with our students. We believe that academic training should be done from the closeness and honesty, trying to help each student according to their needs and personal circumstances. It is important that the teachers master the subject they teach. And even more important: that they know how to explain it. All OUR TEACHERS have university degrees, have completed a Master's degree in Education and have focused their professional careers on teaching. In other words, all our teachers want to be teachers. Moreover, all of them are actively involved in their students' studies and performance.

Type of education

There are many methods, so you should try to find the one that best suits your needs. In order to obtain a good academic achievement of the students it is very important that in the classrooms the level is adjusted to their abilities and that the contents explained are adapted to what they need. In this way you will make the most of all the time you spend at the academy. At Luis Vives, we do not mix different levels or subjects and our courses are linear: the extensive course is independent of the intensive course, and the intensive course is independent of the summer course. You will not join a course that has already started, but you will start, like the rest of your classmates, with topic 1 in all subjects. In addition, we work with small groups. We don't want to work with overcrowded classrooms. If you wish, you can come and try our classes for a day.

Work material

The books you buy should be comprehensive, reliable and contain both theory and practice. Not only books can help you: powerpoint presentations, exercises on your computer, videos and animations should also be useful for your study. At our school, on the first day you will receive all the complete textbooks in hard copy, with all the theory and practice you need to prepare for your subjects. Every year, our teachers carry out an exhaustive revision of our books, in order to update and improve their contents. As a support, we also use presentations, interactive exercises and other computer applications that you can download from the Virtual Classroom of this website.

Putting you in the picture

You need to anticipate the time of the exam. The best solution is to practice with mock exams. This will take away some of the fear you may have at the key moment. With this in mind, our teachers conduct exams every few weeks. In addition, you have at your disposal on our web page sample exam papers y corrected exams of the previous years' exams.

A good location

So that you can dedicate as much time as possible to your studies, it is ideal that the academy for the preparation of selectivity, access to FP, ESO, Bachillerato or school reinforcement is well communicated. In this way, you will spend little time travelling. In Luis Vives we have two centres, one at in the heart of Madrida few minutes away from Puerta del Sol and another one at Moncloavery close to the University City.
