The UNED, through the teaching guides for each subject , allows the following calculators:
- Math: the use of a calculator is not allowed. This is because the format of the test questions is now more theoretical and the calculations in progress are simple enough to not allow it.
- Applied Mathematics for Social Sciences: Calculators are allowed unscientific and non-programmable.
- Chemistry: Calculators are allowed non-programmable scientists.
- Physics: Calculators allowed non-programmable scientists.

What is a non-scientific, non-programmable calculator like?
These are the simplest calculators, capable of performing basic operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We recommend choosing a calculator that can calculate square roots. Here are some clear examples:

How is a NON-programmable scientific calculator allowed in the UNEDasiss PCEs?
Non-programmable scientific calculators are those that allow you to perform calculations beyond the usual addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. When buying a scientific calculator for use in the UNEDasiss PCE exams, you must ensure that it cannot handle matrices, systems of equations, or integrals. What is a programmable scientific calculator like?
