Selectivity for students without a Baccalaureate and over 25 years old
The university entrance test for people over 25 years of age is the exam that can be taken by all those people who have not passed the Baccalaureate, are over 25 years old and want to access university in Spain. The tests are carried out between the months of March and April, depending on the university where you want to take the test.

What requirements must I meet to be able to take this test?
- Be over 25 years old or turn 31 before December XNUMX of the year of the call.
- Not possess any academic qualification that gives access to the university through other means.

The university entrance test for people over 25 years of age at the Complutense University
The test consists of two phases: general and specific.
General phase
It consists of three exercises:
- Text commentary or development of a current general topic.
- Spanish language.
- Foreign language, to choose between German, French, English, Italian or Portuguese.
Specific phase
The specific phase of the university entrance test for those over 25 will be structured into five options. Each of them is linked to one of the five branches of knowledge to which the official degree teachings are assigned.
Applicants will be examined for one of the five options of two subjects of their choice from those indicated below.
- Sciences. Biology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
- Arts and Humanities. History of Spain, History of Art, Philosophy and Geography.
- Health Sciences. Biology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
- Engineering and architecture. Earth and Environmental Sciences, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
- Social and Legal Sciences. Business Economics, Geography, History of Spain, Philosophy and Mathematics Applied to Social Sciences.
The grade for the university entrance test for those over 25 will be determined by the arithmetic mean of the grade obtained in the general phase and the specific phase. It is rounded to the nearest thousandth and, in the case of equidistance, to the nearest thousandth, and will be expressed with three decimal figures.
The entrance test is passed when a minimum of five points is obtained in the final grade. Under no circumstances can it be averaged when a minimum score of four points is not obtained in both the general phase and the specific phase.
Once the access test has been passed, candidates may appear again in successive calls, with the aim of improving their qualification. The grade obtained in the new call will be taken into consideration, provided that it is higher than the previous one.
