PCE UNEDasiss selectivity exams 2023. Luis Vives Study Center

[Updated 2024]⭐Information about the PCE UNEDasiss Selectivity

Hello, #Vivers! Like every year, as a center specialized in the preparation of the PCE, we bring you updated information on the UNEDasiss accreditation process and the Specific Skills Tests, also known as the PCE UNEDasiss selectivity exams for students with a foreign baccalaureate.

All the Managing Entities of the UNED, this December we have been summoned to the annual meeting of the information days on access to the UNEDasiss university. As we do not want you to miss a single detail, we summarize the most important points about the accreditation process, and the Specific Competence Tests.

Specific competency tests – PCE UNEDasiss Selectivity

Registration period for the PCE 2024

As in previous years, in this course, you will have two registration dates to take the Specific Skills Tests:

  • Ordinary call: from February 26 to May 2.
  • Extraordinary call: 1 22 of the July.

Registration will be done online. You can attach all the documentation required by UNEDasiss to take the test.

If you want to complete the PCE UNEDasiss selectivity through a UNED Managing Entity, you must register when the deadline opens. The places in the affiliated centers are limited and, if they are full, you will have to register in a center where there are free places.

PCE UNEDasiss 2024 exam dates

In this course, tests will be called on the following dates:

  • Ordinary call: week of May 20 in Spain.
  • Extraordinary call: from the 2 to the 7 for September.

In the ordinary, the exams that are carried out in the headquarters that the UNED has abroad, will be held the week of June 3.

The UNEDasiss exams will be exclusively in person, except in exceptional cases duly justified.

Optability in the PCE selectivity exams

For the preparation of the PCE UNEDasiss selectivity, the same format as the previous course will be maintained (always depending on the subject). The exams will be made up of a series of multiple choice questions and development questions. Students will have greater optionality in the questions, so that they can have an easier time choosing the answer they give during the exam. If you want, you can take a look at the latest test exams.

Baccalaureate Modality

Students should consult the universities where they are going to apply for admission if it is necessary for their accreditation to include the baccalaureate modality. In the public universities of Madrid, it is required to prove a high school diploma to apply for admission. To do this, the old and new evaluation formula from the last year will be maintained, so you can choose between any of the two options that we show you below:

  • Old formula: students will be able to take the 3 PCE exam. You are required to score a minimum of 5 in all subjects to be able to consider the baccalaureate modality accredited.
  • New formula: students will be able to take the 4 PCE exam. You will have to achieve an arithmetic average of more than 5 points among the four subjects to be able to consider the baccalaureate modality accredited.

Language requirement

Students from a non-Spanish-speaking country must prove the knowledge Spanish B1. We advise you to check the level of Spanish required at the destination university itself, since currently some universities require a level B2 certified.

From our spanish department For foreign students, we will be able to advise you on everything necessary to accredit your level of Spanish.

Finally, we remind you that if you have any questions, you can contact UNED through their web page

From Luis Vives Study Center, as a collaborating entity of the UNED and a specialist center in the preparation of the PCE UNEDasiss exams, we will be able to advise you on everything you need. If you have any questions click here and get in touch with us.

      Much encouragement!

  • May 17, 2021 at 9:21 am

How do I find out when exactly the exam for each subject is? For the May call from the 24th to the 28th, in which I am already registered.
    Thank you

    • February 4, 2023 at 7:31 pm

How many days do exams last abroad? I have to take the exam in New York and I see that it is from June 2 to 11, but I don't know how it works, how many days in my case will I have to go? How many days does a person get examined?

    • February 6, 2023 at 9:19 am

      Hello, Marilen!

For all information related to PCE calls abroad, we recommend that you contact UNED directly, since we only handle the information corresponding to the Madrid exams.

    Thank you.

    • May 18, 2021 at 7:53 am

      Hi Alex!
You will know the date and time of your exams once you have completed your UNEDasiss accreditation application with the contracting of the PCE, and you have made the payment. In case they don't appear immediately, wait a few days, and they will.
      A greeting.

  • May 17, 2021 at 1:45 pm

Hello good morning! On May 24 and 25 I have to take the PCE to access the university. I am writing to ask you if, if you do not perform well, there is any possibility of taking the subject again without losing the entire year. I await your response thank you very much!

    • May 18, 2021 at 7:57 am

      Hello, Malena!
If you do not pass a subject in May, or if you do not achieve the grade you need, you can appear again in September to complete your file without losing your grades obtained in the ordinary call. The registration period for the extraordinary call is from June 29 to July 21, 2021. Don't forget that you can prepare the September call with our summer intensive course.
      Greetings!

  • May 27, 2021 at 12:58 am

    Hello
I did the Admission Qualification in 2019, presenting the homologation of my high school studies where, after paying the fees and others, the UNED gave me a provisional Admission Note, which explained that with the accreditation I could access Spanish universities, but Unfortunately I did not have the Student Visa. This year (2021) I am already in Spain, I took the PCE, I chose two subjects to be able to raise the Admission grade that I previously did at UNED
But my question is: does this note still have value? How does the UNED know that the same files from 2019 are mine? I am misplaced, I need help. What do I do to be able to have the Uned credential and be able to access a University, I am following the steps that have been reported to me but I don't know if I'm doing it right.
Waiting for you to respond as soon as possible, best regards

    • May 27, 2021 at 7:51 am

      Hello, Nativity!
The grades are valid for two academic years, so the grades you earned in 2019 are valid for this course, but not for the next.
The UNED has your information from the other time you showed up.
The credentials are sent by the UNED, so they will be the ones to inform you how you can obtain a new credential.
      A greeting.

    • April 23, 2023 at 3:09 pm

Hello, a question, the topics to study for exams that I take in the ordinary phase, if I fail, will they be the same to study for the extraordinary phase?

And if in the ordinary phase I fail all the subjects, in the extraordinary phase can I take an exam for each subject again without problem?

    • April 24, 2023 at 8:43 am

      Hello Melisa!

Yes, the contents that you have to examine are the same in both calls. Likewise, if you fail all subjects, you can re-sit the extraordinary call without problem.

      A greeting.

  • June 16, 2021 at 3:43 am

Hello, if I register to take extraordinary pce tests in July 2021 and take exams in September 2021, would it be useful for the admission period to universities in 2022?
Or do I have to perform these tests in 2022?

    • June 16, 2021 at 8:52 am

      Hello Laura!
The grades you get on the PCE tests are valid for two academic years, so if you got the grade you need, you would not have to take the tests again in 2022.
      A greeting.

  • June 16, 2021 at 11:01 am

Hello, if I need a UNED credential but I do not need to take pce tests because the subjects of the Colombian educational system are equivalent to those of the Spanish educational system, where can I carry out this procedure? Well, I can only find one procedure where the pce tests are required and I cannot do it.

    • June 17, 2021 at 2: 28 pm

      Hello Camila!
Unfortunately we cannot give you an answer to the question you raise. We advise you to contact UNED directly, as this is a matter within its jurisdiction.
      A greeting.

  • July 17, 2021 at 8:31 pm

I have tests from 2019. Can I use them in 2022?

    • July 19, 2021 at 7:46 am

      Hello, Matilda!
The UNED keeps your grades for two academic years, so in principle, the grades you obtained in 2019 would not be valid for 2022. However, we recommend that you confirm it directly with the UNED.
      A greeting.

  • December 5, 2021 at 3:12 pm

    Hello
Thank you for clarifying the process for accessing the university.
It is ce that the réussite of the PCE test allows you to enter directly at the university or to pass an annual préparatoire
I will tell you if I take the PCE test in June 2022 and I will register directly at the university.

  • January 7, 2022 at 4:55 am

Good night!! I have a question! Are the tests in the extraordinary period for people who failed to obtain the necessary grade in the ordinary period? Or can I carry out the PCE for the first time in the extraordinary period? And if so, would the beginning of classes be, for example, that same year, or the following year? Do you know the price of PCE? I'm very confused, I don't know where to start.

    • January 10, 2022 at 6:36 pm

      Hello Ana!
The extraordinary call is not only for people who did not achieve the necessary grade in the ordinary call, you could take the tests for the first time in this call. The only drawback is that normally, most degrees are already full before they are held, so the grade obtained would be saved for access to university the following year. But in the event that the degree you want to access has free places in the month of September, you could access that same year without problem.
Regarding the price of the PCE, we recommend that you consult directly with the UNED.
      A greeting.

  • April 25, 2022 at 2:42 pm

    Hola!
I took my accreditation and PCE exams last year, unfortunately I was not able to take the university due to external problems and I would like to know if this year I could take the same grade or should I take the exams again and if so, I have two questions:
    1. If with only 2 exams I have the possibility of entering, since last year I took 4 exams
    2. If by taking these exams in September I could enter university this year (I am not very clear about the admission process once I have won the exams)
I want to enter the University of Valencia.

    Thank you!

  • April 26, 2022 at 10:52 am

    Hello Daniela!

You do not have to take the PCE again this year, these notes are saved for two academic years. If the grade obtained last year reaches the cut-off grade for the degree you want to access, you will be able to enter the university without taking the entrance test again.

In the event that you take this course again:
    1. Access is unlikely if you only take 2 subjects.
    2. Access to university in September is very complicated because the registration processes for public universities end at the end of July. In any case, we advise you to consult it personally at each of the universities.

    Greetings!

  • May 25, 2022 at 8:36 pm

Good evening, I have a question, now I am doing the uned pce, but last year I did the pce in September I got an 8,045 but I want to raise my grade for the general phase subjects and I want to know if my biology and biology grades count. chemistry from the previous year,
    Thank you,

    • May 27, 2022 at 11:30 am

      Hello Anass!

The PCEs are calculated in blocks and in separate calls. You will receive a grade for those PCE exams that you have taken this year 2022. Last year's grades will not be used to recalculate this PCE grade. The grades will help you calculate the grade of 10 to 14 points from the university.

      Greetings!

  • June 10, 2022 at 12: 49 pm

Good morning, I took my tests in the extraordinary call (September) of 2020. Will I be able to use my notes for this year's pre-registration? Since they have told me that it lasts two years and for the ordinary call they do not expire yet. Thank you so much

    • June 13, 2022 at 8:25 am

      Hello Miguel!

Yes, indeed, the notes are kept for two academic years.

      Good luck!

      A greeting.

  • July 12, 2022 at 1:31 am

Hello, can I take several core subject tests to raise my grade or does it have to be just one?

And another question, do all subjects count towards the UNED grade? Is it for the admission grade that some weight according to the career you want and university?

For example, Architecture at the UPV considers technical drawing, mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology... but NONE of the core subjects (English, language, history, etc.).

Can I still present, for example, English to raise my grade? I understand that if I do it it would be taken into account in my UNED grade but in the admission grade only those that are weighted would be taken into account, that is, not English.

    • July 29, 2022 at 7:51 am

      Good morning:

Each university has access criteria. In the case of Valencia, you should consult them for their criteria. In general, what we can tell you is the following:
In some universities, the subjects considered core (English as a foreign language, Spanish language and History of Spain) are mandatory to mark the modality, which is why in some cases it is mandatory to take them and in others it is not.
You will have to find out if to study at the University of Valencia you must do any of them. In the case of Madrid, for example, you must do one of them and in Barcelona, all 3.
Normally the UNED uses them to calculate its accreditation (grade out of 10), but universities do not count it when calculating out of 14 (access mark) since they are not specific to any university degree. Therefore, no one chooses any of those subjects to raise their grade, only the specific ones that weight 0.2 (For example, in the case you propose: Technical Drawing, Mathematics II, Physics...).

      We hope it helps you.

      Greetings!

  • January 16, 2023 at 8:46 pm

Hello, I am from the Dominican Republic and I would like to study aerospace engineering at the Autonomous University of Madrid or at the University of Seville, which subjects would be the best to obtain good results in the tests?

    • January 17, 2023 at 9:22 am

      Hello, Gael!
In the case of Aerospace Engineering, in Madrid universities, the subjects you should take the exam are the following:
      – Spanish Language and Literature, History of Spain or a foreign language as a general core.
      – Mathematics II as a modality core.
      – Two to choose from Physics, Chemistry and Technical Drawing (all of them weight 0,2) as modality subjects.
In the case of the University of Seville, we recommend that you contact the university to confirm which subjects you should take the exam, since access requirements may vary in the different autonomous communities of Spain.
      A greeting.

  • March 2, 2023 at 1:11 pm

How can I register to take the PCE exams?

  • March 22, 2023 at 1:31 pm

Hello one question. Are the places for exam registration limited? I have to wait until mid-April to be able to register, will I have a chance by then?

  • March 22, 2023 at 3:58 pm

    Hello Sofia!

Each exam center has a certain number of students, so once it is completed, no more students will be able to register for that specific center, but rather they will have to register in one of the remaining centers available at UNED. Our recommendation is that you register as soon as possible to reserve your place at the exam center that best suits you.

    A greeting.

  • May 2, 2023 at 3:24 pm

Hi how are things! He had doubts about the accreditation of the baccalaureate modality. Since it says here that they use a new formula where it is only necessary to have an average of all grades greater than 5, but when using the cut-off grade calculator, if I say that I fail two specific science subjects, it still appears that it is not accredited the high school modality. What requirements do you currently have for 2023? Thank you

    • May 4, 2023 at 11:02 am

      Hello John!

To accredit the baccalaureate modality, there are two possibilities:
      1. If you take only three subjects, you will have to pass all three.
      2. If you take 4 or more subjects, you will need to have an average grade higher than 5.

We will check our grade calculator to see why this error is happening. Thanks for letting us know about it.

      A greeting.

  • May 4, 2023 at 7:58 pm

Hello, a question, I am registered for the June PCE tests, but I want to modify one of the subjects that I initially registered (Mathematics and replace it with Fundamentals of Art), today I sent the request through the UNED portal where one makes the payment and enroll. Is it possible for this request to be accepted?

    • May 5, 2023 at 7:33 am

      Hello Daniel!

For the problem you indicate, you must contact UNED directly, since we do not know if they will allow you to make the change you need.

      A greeting.

  • May 23, 2023 at 3:05 pm

If I don't take the exam for a subject in May, can I take it in September?

    • May 24, 2023 at 8:06 am

      Hello Maria Jose:

Yes, but you will have to register again and pay the corresponding fees.

      A greeting.

  • June 11, 2023 at 9: 49 pm

Hello, if I take the exam in September, when will I be able to enter university? Do I have to wait for next year or is there a way to enter this year?

    • June 12, 2023 at 8:26 am

      Hi Sara:

The availability of places in September is more limited and there are many degrees for which there are no more places, so if the degree you are interested in is one of them, you would have to wait for the next course to be able to access it. Our recommendation is that you ask directly at the universities that interest you and that they tell you the possibilities you have of accessing the different degrees in September.

      A greeting.

  • June 12, 2023 at 4: 48 pm

    Hello,
I want to study Medicine beginning this academic year 2023/24.
I need to do the PCEs in September because I missed the June deadline, but the preenrollment for all universities ends in July. With only my UNEDasiss diploma accreditation, I only have a score of 9,762, so without the PCEs I cannot reach the cutoff mark of 12-13 for Medicine.
Should I do the pre-registration with only my accreditation score? And can I then add my points from the PCEs in September or will it be too late?
Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you so much in advance!

    • June 13, 2023 at 8:10 am

      Hi Kathi,

It is not possible to pre-register at the university without having the PCE exam grades, so you will have to wait to take them. The problem is that in September it will be difficult for you to have places in medicine at any university, since normally medicine places are usually filled in the month of July.

      A greeting.

  • July 4, 2023 at 9:13 am

    Good morning,

I had a question regarding the accreditation of UNED grades. I have taken the international baccalaureate and have requested accreditation, I have also taken PCE exams to raise my grade. However, I am worried that it is not enough for the degree I want to study this year. In that case, could I use that same IB accreditation next year and take the PCE exams again to raise my grade?

    All the best

    • July 4, 2023 at 11:52 am

      Hello Roberto:

For this question, we recommend that you contact UNED directly and they confirm if you need to create a new accreditation or it is not necessary.

      A greeting.

  • July 10, 2023 at 5:00 pm

    Hi
I have passed the selectivity (ordinary phase) last June but I didn't get the marks I wanted I'm looking forward to pass again in the extraordinary phase this September but I don't know how it works do they count the best mark of the both or only the September marks will be taken into consideration. And am i able to take any subject or only the specific phase (biology-maths chemistry…)

    • July 11, 2023 at 8:24 am

      Hello, Eya:

If you have already taken the ordinary call and want to raise your grades, you can take the extraordinary call only for the subjects in which you want to raise the grade. For the accreditation that UNED gives you, the best of the grades from both exams will be taken into account.

      A greeting.

  • January 9, 2024 at 6:02 pm

    Hello. Good afternoon

For the PCE tests, registration is up to today, as I understand it, and I tried to do it and I got to the point of uploading the documentation and it came out that it was for accreditation and when I corrected it I canceled it.
You know if it can be modified later even if the request is cancelled. I don't know what to do, wait for them to respond to my email or try to make another request.

    • March 4, 2024 at 8:50 am

      Hello Vivi:

Registration for the PCE will be open until May 2, so don't worry, you still have time. If you have written to the UNED telling them about the problem you have had, it is best to wait for their response.

      A greeting.
