Calculators allowed in the PCE UNEDasiss

The UNED, through the teaching guides for each subject, allows the following calculators:

  • Math:  the use of a calculator is not allowed. This is because the format of the test questions is now more theoretical and the calculations in progress are simple enough to not allow it.
  • Applied mathematics to social sciences: unscientific and unprogrammable
  • Chemistry: non-programmable scientific
  • Physical: non-programmable scientific.
  • Technical drawing: non-programmable scientific.
  • Company and Business Model Design (formerly Business Economics): non-programmable scientific.

What is a non-scientific, non-programmable calculator like?

Eye! There are some calculators that are not programmable but still cannot be used in the UNEDasiss PCE Selectivity: the most common are any CASIO FX 991 model and any CASIO 570 model. Many students buy them thinking that they will work for them and not It's like that.

What type is my calculator?

If the model of the calculator you have at home is not listed, you can tell us the model in the comments, and we will tell you what type it is. Cheer up!

Hello, my calculator is Cs-08 Plus from Alcampo, is it allowed or not?

    • May 22, 2023 at 8:40 am

      Hello, Ainhoa!
The Cs-08 Plus is in principle a non-programmable scientific calculator. It should be allowed in PCE exams that allow this type of calculators.

However, it does not appear as an allowed calculator for the EvAU (Selectivity for students with a Spanish baccalaureate), although it is not among the examples of not allowed calculators either.

Greetings and good luck in your exams.
