Differences between the intermediate level entrance exam and the free tests to obtain the ESO Graduate degree - Centro de Estudios Luis Vives

[Updated 2024]😍Differences between ESO Title and access to intermediate level

Hello, #Vivers! One of the most requested courses at our Madrid academy is the course to obtain the official ESO graduate degree (compulsory secondary education). The majority of students who take the ESO free test also take the exam for access to middle-grade training cycles. This is so since both exams are very similar, and in many cases these students seek to continue their academic development through official technical education. As you know, the completion of a medium-level training cycle allows direct access to a higher-level training cycle that belongs to the same option.

In the video that we show you below, our colleague Lara, coordinator of the Preparation courses for obtaining the Graduate Degree in ESO and preparation courses for the intermediate level cycle access test exam, explains the differences between both tests:

Comparison between the free tests to obtain the ESO Graduate degree and the intermediate level FP access tests

In the following table, you can also see the comparison between both tests:

ESO titleIntermediate grade entrance test
Requirements to present
  • Be 18 years of age, or turn XNUMX in the year in which the test is performed.
  • Not be enrolled in any institute to obtain the ESO in the same school year in which you want to take the test.
  • Be 17 years of age, or turn XNUMX in the year in which the test is performed.
Annual calls2 (March and May)1 (usually in May)
Test StructureIt is divided into three areas:
  • Communication: Language and English.
  • Social: Geography and History.
  • Scientific-technological: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Technology.
It is divided into three areas:
  • Communication: Language and English.
  • Social: Geography and History.
  • Scientific-technological: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Technology.
QualificationsThe three areas are rated separatelyJoint qualification: PASS OR NOT PASS
ExemptionsThere are some ways to be exempt from any of the areas in the two tests. For the ESO degree, you can be exempt from some area if you have passed those subjects in the 4th year of ESO, or in previous calls for the free test. In access to intermediate grade, too. In addition, you can remove the Science part of access to the intermediate degree if you prove work experience of more than one year.

Main differences between both tests

As you can see, the differences between both tests are minimal, so it is always recommended that you take both, if you can.

Remember that it is essential that the preparation and programming of studies focus on passing the three areas.

We hope that the differences between both tests have become clear to you. If you want more information about this, you can consult the official website of the Community of Madrid.

Good luck with the study!

Hello, if I prepare for the free tests and fail, can I still take the intermediate level entrance test the same year? Thank you

    • January 25, 2021 at 9:20 am

      Good morning:
You can prepare both tests in the same year, they are not incompatible. Much encouragement!!

    • May 12, 2021 at 10:34 am

I have passed the exam to take an intermediate degree module. Is it compatible with the graduate?

    • May 12, 2021 at 12:08 pm

      Hello Cristina!
If you have passed the intermediate degree entrance test, you can take an intermediate degree. But that is not equivalent to the ESO graduate's qualification, they are different educational levels.
      A greeting.

    • March 29, 2022 at 2:41 pm

      Hello, Borja!

We recommend that you contact the vocational training institute where you want to take the intermediate degree and ask if you need a specific grade to be able to access it. If you don't know where you want to take it, you can consult the center search engine on the Community of Madrid website: https://www.comunidad.madrid/servicios/educacion/buscador-centros-educativos

      Greetings!

    • April 10, 2022 at 8:08 am

Hello, with the intermediate level entrance test, can I take postal examinations, for example? Thank you

    • April 11, 2022 at 8:25 am

      Hello, Trini!

You can review article 3 of the following order https://www.boe.es/buscar/doc.php?id=BOE-A-2009-10054 , which indicates the equivalence of the intermediate level entrance test with the ESO graduate degree. As you will see, it will be considered equivalent for public employment purposes as long as some assumption is met, for example having passed all the subjects of the first two years of Compulsory Secondary Education.

In any case, we recommend that you consult the rules of the public job offer you want to apply for.

      Good luck!

  • February 2, 2021 at 9:07 pm

Hello, I am taking the ESO 1 in an adult school, it takes 2 years, I can apply to take the intermediate degree without having taken the ESO. Thank you.

    • February 4, 2021 at 9:18 am

      Hello, Saloua!
Yes you can, they are not incompatible tests, as long as you meet the requirements to take the intermediate level cycle access exam. However, in the Community of Madrid, the registration period is currently closed for this course. You could apply next year (predictably in May).

    • March 29, 2022 at 1:26 pm

If I have a low average grade and I am 24 years old, can I choose to do an intermediate degree or is it very difficult to get accepted?

  • February 8, 2021 at 11:28 am

    hello!
Coming from EGB, with the title of EGB school graduate, and having passed the Intermediate Grade access test, can it be validated with an ESO degree?
    Thank you

    • February 9, 2021 at 8:36 am

      Hello Ana!
The ESO test cannot be validated with the middle grade and the EGB because they are different educational levels. To obtain the ESO graduate degree you must prepare yourself if you have only completed all the EGB levels.
      A greeting.

  • February 8, 2021 at 6:10 pm

Can I validate the approved middle-grade subjects and thus not have to take some subjects from the free tests of that?

    • February 9, 2021 at 8:37 am

      Hello Antonio!
Passed exams for access to the intermediate degree or an intermediate degree taken cannot be validated to be exempt from subjects for the ESO graduate because they correspond to different educational levels.
      A greeting.

  • February 9, 2021 at 11:06 pm

Hello, good evening, I would like to know if I can validate approved subjects from the free tests of the ESO so as not to have to take some of the entrance tests to the intermediate level

    • February 10, 2021 at 9:55 am

      Good Morning!
ESO subjects cannot be validated to be exempt from intermediate level subjects. But you could be exempt from the scientific-technical field for professional experience of at least one year of contributions, or the equivalent, full-time.
      A greeting.

  • February 13, 2021 at 3:06 pm

Good afternoon, with the admission test for intermediate grade cycles approved, can you present yourself at the post office? I don't have ESO and the requirements say ESO or similar qualification. Thank you very much in advance

    • February 16, 2021 at 10:55 am

      Hello, Asier!
According to Education Order 1603/2009, article 3 indicates that the qualification for access to intermediate-level training cycles is equivalent to the ESO, for professional purposes, if one of several assumptions is met. The first is to have completed the first two courses of ESO. You can consult that order to clear up doubts.
In any case, for public employment offers, I recommend that you contact directly the body that calls these oppositions, so that they can resolve your doubt.
      Good luck 😀

  • March 12, 2021 at 4:39 pm

    Hello,
With the Pau 25 entrance test and the intermediate level access test, would it be equivalent for employment purposes to having the ESO?

  • March 14, 2021 at 10:31 pm

If I have passed the access to intermediate level, can it be validated with the ESO degree?

    • March 16, 2021 at 11:27 am

      Hello Mario!
If you have passed the intermediate degree entrance test, you can take an intermediate degree. But that is not equivalent to the ESO graduate's qualification, they are different educational levels.
      A greeting.

  • March 28, 2021 at 1:21 pm

I have a question, my daughter finishes her secondary school this year at 17 years old, she is doing well with all the subjects she has passed, the center where she studies offers her to take the middle grade entrance exam, since she wants to start a cycle half the next course. Can she apply for the intermediate degree at the center where she wants to take it and at the same time take the entrance exams to have a better chance of entering? Or if you can no longer apply for the entrance exam, is it compatible?

    • March 29, 2021 at 10:05 am

      Hello Ana!
The official ESO graduate degree is enough to enter an intermediate degree without having to take the entrance test to intermediate degree cycles.
      A greeting.

  • April 9, 2021 at 6:26 am

Hello, if I have the ESO degree but to enter an intermediate degree I do not have enough grade, can I take the entrance test exam to get a higher grade?

    • April 9, 2021 at 8:14 am

      Hello Mario!
You cannot take the entrance test to intermediate grade cycles when you already have the ESO degree.
      All the best

  • May 7, 2021 at 4:14 am

Hello, Hello, if I want to take the security guard course and they ask me to have that and I don't have it, if I took the intermediate level entrance test, would it be worth it? Or would I have to show up at that one?

    • May 12, 2021 at 12:09 pm

      Hello!
The intermediate degree entrance test only makes it possible to take an intermediate degree. And it is not equivalent to the ESO graduate's qualification, they are different educational levels.
      A greeting.

  • May 18, 2021 at 7:58 am

Can I go on to a mid-level training cycle with ESO???

  • May 18, 2021 at 8:03 am

    Hi Max!:
Yes, if you have an ESO degree you can apply for a place in any intermediate level training cycle.
    Luck!

  • May 30, 2021 at 1:32 pm

If I fail Spanish in the intermediate level entrance exam and the following week I pass it in the ESO graduate exam, can I access an intermediate degree in September, would it validate me?

    • May 31, 2021 at 9:04 am

      Hello, Inma!
If you pass all areas of the ESO graduate, then you can enter an intermediate degree
If it is only language and literature, no, an exam of one test is not validated by an exam of another, since they are different
      A greeting.

    • June 7, 2021 at 4: 09 pm

Hello, I am getting the graduate degree, so my question is to access the intermediate degree, what grade do you have to have in the graduate to be able to enter, thank you

    • June 8, 2021 at 8:20 am

      Hello Eva!
To access the intermediate grades there are no cut-off grades, although it is necessary to have passed the ESO graduate with a minimum average of 5. Places are awarded in order of grade, so... Try to get the highest grade possible!
      A greeting.

  • June 4, 2021 at 7:04 am

Hello, I wanted to know if you could answer this very urgent question for me and that is that my brother is 18 years old and is studying 4th year of ESO, he has 2 weeks left to finish and he has also taken the entrance test for the intermediate level of electromechanics .
The thing is that to enter electromechanics you need a 7 and your ESO average is a 6. You recently took the entrance test and got a 7,8.
Well, he has told us that he is not going to finish the 2 weeks he has left of ESO since if he enters the cycle with the ESO average it is difficult for him to be caught since he has gotten a better grade in the entrance test.
This is possible? That is to say, so many years of studying that in the end you are not going to obtain the degree just because the grade on the entrance test is higher? I hope you can solve my doubt, thank you!!

    • June 4, 2021 at 11:35 am

      Hello Paula!
From what you indicate, it seems that the intermediate grade access grade would allow you to access the vocational training you want. However, we recommend that you make this query to the institute where your brother wants to take vocational training, as they will know how to indicate the priority in allocating places.
On the other hand, it would be highly recommended that you make one last effort to graduate from ESO. It is a degree that will open many doors if in the future you need to redirect your academic or professional itinerary.
Greetings, we hope we have helped you 🙂

  • August 30, 2021 at 2: 10 pm

I had a question, if I pass the free tests or access to the intermediate level, will they validate it for all of Spain?
I am in the Valencian Community and they ask me to be Valencian, being from Madrid I don't know anything. If I take the exams in Madrid, could I take the degree in the Valencian Community afterwards?
    Thanks and kind regards.

    • September 6, 2021 at 8: 03 am

      Hello Alberto!
Passing both the entrance test to intermediate-level training cycles and the ESO graduate has national validity. However, to qualify for a public place in the subsequent year, students who have passed in the autonomous community in which they want to study the degree later have priority.
      A greeting.

    • October 9, 2021 at 4:56 pm

Hello, could I access a FP module with a professional certificate? I don't have that.

    • October 15, 2021 at 8:22 am

      Hello Rocio!
It depends on the level of technician specified in your professional certificate. And whether it has been granted to you by an approved official center or body, or even by the Community of Madrid itself. You can contact us directly by phone to discuss your specific case.
      A greeting.

  • September 14, 2021 at 3:26 pm

Hello. I have ESO but it doesn't give me the grade for the middle grade that I want. Can I access that intermediate degree with the access test? Could I raise the ESO average grade in some way? Can I take the free ESO test to raise my grade?

    • September 16, 2021 at 12:10 pm

      Hello, Begoña!
One of the requirements to be able to take the test to obtain the ESO graduate is to be of legal age but not to be in possession of the title or taking official studies to obtain it.
Therefore, in your case, the average grade that you obtained at the time in the ESO graduate is what you have available for choosing intermediate degrees.
We hope you have luck and sorry for the delay in correcting our response.
      A greeting.

    • December 1, 2021 at 9:23 am

Hello, I'm finishing ESO but I am exempt from Valencian. I want to study as a health emergency technician. In order to study it, will they ask me for Valencian?

    • December 1, 2021 at 9:53 am

      Hello Laura!
Our academies are in the Community of Madrid. If you are going to present yourself here, you are exempt from Valencian.
If you appear in the Valencian Community you must inform yourself there.
We hope we have helped you, good luck!

  • October 1, 2021 at 7:08 am

Hello, is it possible to simultaneously study Secondary Education for Adults via Distance Learning and an intermediate degree cycle, also via distance learning?

    • October 4, 2021 at 12:41 pm

      Hello Mariano!
They are not exclusive educational paths, unless it is clearly indicated in the terms of the course you are enrolled in. You can confirm it in your CEPA and in the place where you are studying the intermediate degree.
      Good luck with the study.

  • November 13, 2021 at 6:54 am

Good morning!! I am interested in obtaining the intermediate degree of Nursing Assistant, I am 45 years old and have completed the EGB, I have a socio-health professional certificate in social institutions and I have been working for 2 years. What would be faster to qualify for the intermediate degree? Obtain ESO or access to intermediate level?
    Thank you so much. EMMA.

    • November 16, 2021 at 9:38 am

      Hi Emma:

Thank you for leaving a comment. In a case like yours, and given that you have clearly defined that you want to take a mid-level vocational training as a Nursing Assistant, we recommend that you take the access test to mid-level training cycles. If you prove professional experience, or a certificate of professionalism, you may be exempt from the Scientific-Technological field, and only take the Communication Field (Language and English) and the Social Field (Geography and History). You have the detailed regulations in this link.

We hope we have helped you, good luck! 🙂

  • December 21, 2021 at 8:18 pm

Hello, good morning, I have a school graduate, if I take the middle grade entrance exam and I try it, could I validate that?

    • January 10, 2022 at 5:47 pm

      Hello Jose:
In no case can the intermediate level access test be validated by obtaining the ESO graduate degree, they are different tests.
We hope we have helped you 🙂

  • January 10, 2022 at 7:31 pm

Is the middle grade entrance test equivalent to the ESO for competitive examinations?

    • January 11, 2022 at 6:52 pm

      Hello, Jordi!
Good afternoon, both tests are not equivalent because they correspond to different educational levels, but it is best that you contrast the bases of your oppositions to be sure. We hope we have helped you 🙂
      A greeting.

  • January 16, 2022 at 12:47 pm

Hello, Can I take an intermediate degree if I have a ESO graduate degree but for adults or would I have to take the intermediate degree access tests to be able to do it?

    Thank you very much, greetings.

    • January 18, 2022 at 1:08 pm

Good morning, Noel and thank you for your question.
You can apply for a place in an intermediate degree without having to take the entrance exam, as long as you have a ESO graduate degree (it does not matter if you have graduated from a school, institute or senior center). However, you can confirm it with the place where you took it, to be more sure.
We hope we have helped you, good day!

  • January 17, 2022 at 5:43 pm

Hello, good, I have a question, I am in 4 ESO, I am 17 years old and I was thinking about attending the middle grade entrance exam but I no longer attend the institute due to problems. Today they notified me that if I did not attend I would not be able to sign up for the May exams and that they would give me a expulsion from the center if I do not attend anymore, is it true that I will not be able to take the test? ,thank you!

    • January 18, 2022 at 1:08 pm

Good morning, Jhonny and thank you for asking us.
To be able to take the entrance test for medium-level training cycles, the only requirement that you must meet is that you must be at least 17 years old or be at least XNUMX years old during the year in which the test is taken, and not have a qualification that allows you direct access. without taking the entrance test. You don't have to be enrolled in school, but you can confirm it with your school, to be more sure. We hope we have helped you.
      Good day!

  • February 8, 2022 at 11:23 am

Good afternoon, a few years ago I took the exam at an intermediate level, can I download that exam or certificate? Something that I can present in a job equivalent to ESO that I don't have?

    Thank you

    • February 8, 2022 at 3:35 pm

      Good afternoon, Yere!
You must request the certificate of passing the entrance test to intermediate-level training cycles at the same institute where you took the exams. However, in no case is it a degree equivalent to graduating in ESO. We hope we have helped you,
      Good day!

  • February 18, 2022 at 4:58 pm

Good afternoon, I have an FP1 qualification and an intermediate degree... but to access another intermediate level training cycle as well, the places are very very few, you have more options for places having the ESO (aside from the fact that I could raise my grade), my question en: Could I take the ESO certificate on my own, or does the qualification I already have prevent me from taking said test and requesting a place for a new cycle with said qualification? ( THAT )

    Greetings and thank you!

    • February 21, 2022 at 12:04 pm

      Good morning, Miriam!
The intermediate level and vocational training qualifications are not equivalent to the ESO graduate qualification, they are independent. Therefore, there is no problem for you to apply.
We hope we have helped you, good luck!

    Hello, Begoña!
One of the requirements to be able to take the test to obtain the ESO graduate is to be of legal age but not to be in possession of the title or taking official studies to obtain it.
Therefore, in your case, you would have to take the entry test for intermediate-level cycles, pass it with a good grade, and enter the training degree that way.
    A greeting.

You cannot take the entrance test to intermediate grade cycles when you already have the ESO degree.
    All the best

    Good morning,
I am taking 2 Basic Fp, in my center this year they have told me that I have passed with a very low grade and that they will not give me the opportunity to
do anything I like. Can I take the entrance test if this year I turn 17 years old and they have not yet given me the title as approved, if not, would I not have the option of taking admission until I am 19 years old? Could I ask to be suspended and repeat second grade to raise my grade?
    Thank you.

    • March 31, 2022 at 10:04 am

      Hello!

If you have a qualification that allows you to access a medium-level vocational training, you cannot take the free access tests. In order to have the option to apply, you should talk to your current institute to find out what alternatives you have to achieve your goals. The minimum age to take the intermediate level entrance test is 17 years old. However, please note that registration for the May 2022 exams took place in January, so you are already out of time.

You can also consult the institute where you want to complete the intermediate degree, so that they can tell you if with your current record you have options to be admitted.

If what you want is to directly access a higher degree, you must wait to take the free access test in the year in which you turn 19. For this test, it does not matter if you have completed your ESO or not, you can take it under any circumstance.

As your case is very particular, we encourage you to call us at 915 425 007 and make the consultation over the phone.

      Greetings!

Hello, good, I took a pce of electricity and electronics, I passed 1st and 2nd I passed applied sciences I, communication and society II, electrical and electronic equipment, training in work centers I and electrical installations and home automation, some validated in the entrance test average cycle of electricity and electronics?

    • April 20, 2022 at 4:16 pm

      Hello, Jota!

In article number 17 of the order of the Community of Madrid that regulates access to intermediate and higher level Vocational Training (https://www.bocm.es/boletin/CM_Orden_BOCM/2021/07/27/BOCM-20210727-1.PDF) you have detailed the cases in which you can request exemption in each of the three areas.

After reviewing what you tell us in the comment, it seems that you could request exemption from part I: Linguistic Communication, for having passed the "Communication and Society II" module.

In any case, I recommend that you carefully compare your academic record with the assumptions indicated in said article 17 to remove any doubt.

      Greetings!

  • April 26, 2022 at 12:10 pm

Hello, I am 40 years old, I have the EGB and 14 years as an administrative assistant with work experience. Is it worth anything to get my ESO or an intermediate degree?

  • June 1, 2022 at 3: 04 pm

One question I took the middle grade tests and I got a 4,35 if I validate 4 in maths since I did poorly in the tests, could they approve me with a 5 in the access tests, right?

    • June 3, 2022 at 7:12 am

      Hello!

As you know, in the 2021-2022 school year the regulations governing access tests to training cycles have changed. In the eleventh article of the order that regulates the evidence (https://feccoo-madrid.org/277c5832e8dbb20a70764cdfb3bb4f36000063.pdf), the following is indicated:

      1. In accordance with the provisions of the first additional provision of Decree 187/2021, of July 21, passing any of the parts of the access test to medium-level vocational training cycles carried out in the Community of Madrid in 2009 or later, it may be recognized in successive calls by transferring the results obtained in the following terms:

      a) Recognition of part I: Linguistic Communication cannot be carried out.
      b) Recognition of part II: Social cannot be carried out.
      c) For the recognition of part III: Scientific-Technological, the
passing the mathematical part and the scientific-technical part of the test
access to intermediate level training cycles of vocational training regulated by
Order 4879/2008, of October 21. The Scientific-Technological part will be graded
taking the arithmetic mean of both parts.

Therefore, the interpretation of this article indicates that you are NOT recognized for passing the areas that you have approved before the 2021-2022 school year. However, we recommend that you contact one of the institutes that organizes the test (Annex IV of the PDF linked above) so that they can clear your doubts.

      Good luck!

  • June 3, 2022 at 8: 01 pm

Hello good! In the ESO free tests, if in the Communication Area, I only pass Spanish and Valencian, and I fail English, should I repeat all of them again in the next call, or do I not have to repeat the passed subjects again? And I would only have to do English in that area? Thanks in advance.

    • June 6, 2022 at 7:50 am

      Hello!

Thanks for your comment. The areas of knowledge in the ESO graduate degree are approved en bloc. So, if you have failed the Communication block, which includes Language and English, you will have to take both subjects again. The positive point of view is that if you repeat the Language part it is because you master it more, and it can help you raise the average in that area to pass. In any case, as always, we recommend that you contact your institute so that they can verify that you must repeat both exams.

      Good luck!

I have passed the middle grade entrance exam, I want to attend high school in the United States. Can the test passing certificate be validated to continue studies abroad?

    • September 5, 2022 at 4:26 pm

      Hello Isaac!

The best thing you can do is get information from the Ministry of Education so that this particular question can be resolved. Here in Spain, with the test for access to intermediate grade cycles passed, you would not be able to go directly to Baccalaureate, since it is not equivalent to obtaining the ESO graduate degree. However, I do not know what may happen in the United States.

I hope they can guide you and achieve your goals, good luck!

  • September 27, 2022 at 2:58 pm

Hello, I have passed the mid-cycle entrance exam and in the eso for adults I only lack languages. They would validate the language of the entrance test with that of the eso for adults.

    • September 27, 2022 at 4:16 pm

      Hello!

The areas of the intermediate level test are never validated by those of the ESO graduate, we are very sorry. We hope we have helped you.

      Much encouragement!

  • November 10, 2022 at 6:54 pm

Hello, right now I am preparing for the middle grade entrance exams, next year I will turn 17, but I have found out about the free ESO tests. Could I sign up for the free ESO tests when I am 17 years old? ??

    • November 14, 2022 at 9:56 am

      Hello Cristina!

To be able to take the free tests to obtain the ESO graduate degree, you must turn 18 during the year in which you were going to take the exams. In other words, if you turn 2023 in 17, you should wait one more year.

We wish you good luck in preparing for access to intermediate level, and if you need it... you can sign up for our course!

  • December 14, 2022 at 3:11 pm

    Good afternoon,
The entrance test to the training cycle can be validated by the ESO graduate. At the time I took the entrance test for the training cycle but I did not finish the cycle. Now I have neither a cycle nor a graduate degree in ESO. What I can do? Thank you very much in advance.

    • December 14, 2022 at 6:06 pm

      Hello, Luis!

The free ESO graduate tests are not equivalent to the access tests to training cycles. To continue training or to obtain a qualification, you must re-apply.

      Much encouragement!

  • January 21, 2023 at 5:25 pm

Hello good! Are the cut-off marks obtained in the free ESO test, the intermediate grade access test and the compulsory ESO test separate? That is, if I want to enter a cycle, which cutoff note of the 3 would be used? Thank you.

    • January 24, 2023 at 11:13 am

      Hi Nico!

To apply for a place in a cycle, you can present the certification that interests you (access to intermediate degree or ESO).

It is possible that the order of access to the intermediate degree is a priority for those students who have graduated from ESO, so you may be interested in presenting this qualification even if the grade is lower than that of access to the intermediate degree.

In any case, we recommend that you consult with the vocational training institute where you want to take the training cycle.

      A greeting.

  • March 1, 2023 at 12:48 pm

Hello, back in the day I took the middle grade entrance test and I passed it with a good grade, I entered a middle grade but I didn't finish it. I wanted to know if the exam expires, that is, it's been about 10 years since I took the exam, I don't have a ESO degree, could I enter an intermediate degree now?

    • March 2, 2023 at 11:28 am

      Hello Tania:
According to what appears in the current law, if you passed the common test or specific part of the access test to higher-level vocational training cycles in calls after 2009 and prior to the application of Decree 187/2021, of December 21, July, you can request recognition of the passed part. With this, we understand that it would also apply to the access test to intermediate-level vocational training cycles. However, it is best that you make sure in which year you passed and also that you check its validity directly with the Community of Madrid or with Education. We hope this is the case and you can start a new middle grade, good luck!

  • March 22, 2023 at 4:11 pm

Can I study ESO and a middle degree at the same time?

    • March 23, 2023 at 8:49 am

      Hi Abigail,

Of course you can take both entrance tests, in order to have a better chance of finding a place the following year at a public institute. They are different tests, one does not count for the other, and to be able to take both, you must be at least 18 years old or turn XNUMX during the year in which you take the tests, as well as not be enrolled in official courses to prepare for the same. We hope we have resolved your doubts, go ahead and go for it!

  • April 12, 2023 at 7:09 pm

Hello, I am studying ESO and I am 17 years old (turned) and I want to do an intermediate degree, what option would I have?

    • April 13, 2023 at 8:32 am

      Hello Alison:
To be able to access a medium-level training cycle, you can choose two entry routes. The first consists of taking and passing the free test for access to medium-level training cycles. The second way is to have a ESO graduate degree, that is, to have completed and passed 4th ESO completely in a school or institute (if you turn 2023 in 18, you can also choose to take and pass the free test for the obtaining the ESO graduate degree).
We hope we have helped you, good luck!

  • May 25, 2023 at 9:46 am

Hello, I have a question, if possible.
Many years ago, without finishing ESO, I took the entrance test for the intermediate level of auxiliary nursing care technician, I finished it and I have my degree.
In some way could I now validate my ESO or have it certified that my level of education is higher?

I want to understand that to obtain an intermediate degree you have already demonstrated in the entrance test that you have the knowledge taught in ESO. But how can I prove it beyond the title. I am in another country and here the entrance test is not needed as such nor the title of nursing assistant shows that I have what the ESO is.

    Thank you very much.

      Good morning, Maira:
The BOE of Spain, which you can find at this link, say what:
Article 3. Equivalence for professional purposes with the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education. 1. Passing the entrance test to intermediate-level professional education in plastic arts and design, to intermediate-level vocational training or to intermediate-level sports education will be equivalent to the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education, the only ones effects of access to public and private jobs, provided that one of the following requirements is accredited, or having completed the intermediate level training cycle and having passed a number of professional modules whose duration constitutes at least half of the total duration of the cycle training, or having passed all the subjects of the first two years of Compulsory Secondary Education.
We hope we have been able to help you

  • May 29, 2023 at 3:15 pm

What should you do once you pass the access test? Does the institute where I take the exam have to provide me with any documents? What do I have to do to register?

  • May 29, 2023 at 3:16 pm

Is it true that passing the entrance test validates the ESO degree?

    • May 30, 2023 at 11:17 am

      Hi Sole:
The entrance test to intermediate level training cycles is NOT equivalent to the ESO graduate's qualification nor can it be validated for this reason, they are different tests. At the institute where you have taken the exam, you can request the certificate of having passed the entrance test to intermediate-level training cycles. And to register, you can enter this article from our blog, where everything is explained.
We hope we have been of help to you, and, of course... we are very happy that you approved!

  • June 6, 2023 at 11:41 am

Good morning. Is there a way to take a higher vocational training degree while still having intermediate-level internships pending?

    • June 7, 2023 at 10:15 am

      Hi Fatima:

As we indicated by email, there is no possible way, I am very sorry.

We hope we have helped you

  • June 6, 2023 at 9: 25 pm

Good afternoon, my average grade for all that is a 5,80 and I think it is not going to give me the intermediate grade that I want to do since I need a 6,22 and I wanted to know if it is better to repeat 4 of the that and try hard more to raise my average grade or take the entrance test next year or stay as I am and see if they catch me and if not I don't know what else I could do

    • June 7, 2023 at 10:15 am

      Hello lili:

The cut-off marks are indicative each year, so it is a good idea to wait in case you get caught. Otherwise, both of the other two options are good, both trying to raise your grade by trying harder in 4th ESO, and at the same time preparing for the intermediate grade entrance test, and taking advantage of opening the two avenues to request a place with the one in the one with a higher average grade.

      Much encouragement

  • September 20, 2023 at 11: 13 am

    Good morning,

I wanted to ask you if to access an intermediate cycle the cut-off mark is the average of 4th ESO or of all ESO courses?

    Thank you! Greetings, Estela.

    • September 20, 2023 at 4:06 pm

      Hello, Estela.

The average grade that will be taken into account for access to the intermediate degree cycles is that of your academic record. In this website You have the detailed information.

      A greeting.

  • September 27, 2023 at 6: 45 am

I have the entrance test to the intermediate level and I passed 3 of that with 5 pending of 2 of that, I did an intermediate degree but I did not pass the first year, I took the basic level in an adult school and I applied myself to the graduate in that and I took 4 subjects 8 years ago, I want to apply for a road traffic training teacher and they ask me as a requirement to have a degree in that or equivalent, with all this would it be worth it to me?

  • December 7, 2023 at 10:38 am

Hello, if I have already graduated and have obtained my ESO degree, can I raise my grade or take the intermediate level entrance test?

    • December 11, 2023 at 3:24 pm

      Hello Eva!

Thank you for asking us, unfortunately I must tell you that if you already have your ESO graduate degree, you cannot take the grade or the free tests for access to the intermediate level training cycles, I am very sorry. I hope you find an alternative that allows you to continue training.

If you have more questions, write to us again!

  • February 4, 2024 at 9:35 am

Hello, in this last call for the free graduate tests in that of the Valencian community, I took all the subjects except technology, my question is if you can give me the graduate in that only by failing one subject

    • February 5, 2024 at 12:37 pm

      Hello Jesus:

In the Community of Madrid, the ESO graduate degree is only awarded if the test in each of the three areas that comprise it is passed. We do not know if the same thing happens in the Valencian Community, although it would be logical. You should inform yourself at the Generalitat directly.

      Good luck!

  • March 6, 2024 at 3:59 pm

    Hello,
I am doing an Administration cycle but I want to change to another cycle which is Graphic Design and I don't know if I have to take an exam to take the Design cycle if I already have the ESo?

    • March 7, 2024 at 11:26 am

      Hi Alejandra:

If you have the ESO qualification, you do not need to take any exam, since this qualification allows you to access any intermediate level training cycle.

      A greeting.
